13 Nights of Halloween

The older I get, the more I realize I still want to be a child. Just because I’m getting older doesn’t mean the trends go with me. There is always someone younger or newer. Time keeps going.

It’s so weird, when I was younger, I couldn’t wait to get older. All I wanted to do was hang out with my older sisters’ friends. Now, though, as I change the channel to Disney, I find that I no longer know what the new “cool” shows are or who the newest Radio Disney star is.

I know, I really shouldn’t care what is taking place on Disney, as I am almost 21; but, I can’t seem to not have a huge knot in my stomach, wishing I spent more time as a kid instead of rushing into maturity.

Nevertheless, as it comes time for the Fall season and Halloween, I get to reminisce and be a little kid again as I get to watch my favorite shows and movies that lead up to the 31st of October.

We have 15 more days until ABC Family’s 13 nights of Halloween, and I can’t wait for some of the movies that are airing.

Friday, October 19, kicks off the marathon of movies with:

The Addam’s Family

Following, on October 20, is a classic and all time personal favorite of mine:

Hocus Pocus

Sunday, October 21:

Beetlejuice plays

Followed, on October 22, by:

The finale of “Switched at Birth”

Practical Magic

October 23:

Pretty Little Liars has a marathon leading up to their Halloween special at 8 pm.

Wednesday, October 24:

Scooby Doo

Thursday October 25:

Addams Family Values

Friday October 26:

Matilda… another personal favorite of mine

Saturday October 27:

Monster House

Sunday, October 28:

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice

Monday October 28:

The Mummy- if you’re into thrillers

Tuesday, October 30:

Don’t miss Edward Scissorhands featuring Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder. You can always count on Tim Burton to produce a great Halloween Movie… speaking of; I have yet to see Frankenweenie… it’s on my list of to-dos

Finally, October 31:

Hocus Pocus twice? You may ask… maybe, but then again, who wouldn’t want to watch it on Halloween night.

This list could have been better, but I probably won’t be spending every night at home… so it all works out in the end.
